Real Madrid superstar could be the next big name player to join Manchester United next summer, Express reports.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, who also represents Radamel Falcao and Angel di Maria, is looking to make his three biggest clients play together at Old Trafford.
Although Mendes also arranged the move for James Rodriguez to Real Madrid, it seems the ‘super-agent’ has since clashed heads with Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Perez is reportedly extremely frustrated that Mendes allowed Di Maria to publically criticize the European champions after departing for Man United.
The relationship hit boiling point when Mendes was unhappy with the response Perez gave when asked why he didn’t sign Falcao, which was: “If we had signed Falcao, we may as well have made Mendes president.”
Mendes could therefore be prepared to get his revenge, benefiting the Red Devils.
According to the Spanish news outlet Sport.es, Man United will need to set aside £55million for Ronaldo’s move to the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ next summer.
The two-time Ballon D’or winner has already spoken of his love for Manchester as well as hoping to one day return, which could be as soon as the start of next season.
