Swansea City outcast Michu is edging closer to the termination of his contract with the Premier League side, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old lost his place in the squad after picking up a number of ankle injuries, causing him to miss out on an entire year of football.
He was a key member for the Swans during his debut campaign, scoring a total of 22 goals, but it seems that the club are now ready to part ways with him.
Michu is currently earning around £40,000-a-week at the Liberty Stadium and will see his contract expire at the end of this season.
However, the Swans are not willing to continue paying his salary as they are now said to be preparing a settlement that could see him leave as soon as this week.
He is now expected to leave the club and join fourth tier Spanish side Union Langreo, where he is currently training given that the team is being run by his brother Hernan Perez.
