Liverpool have been alerted by Swansea star Andre Ayew’s possible availability, according to reports from the Express.
Ayew was a target for the Reds when he was a free agent during the summer, but then he decided to join the Swans instead.
And he instantly took to the Premier League like a duck to water, scoring six goals and providing two assists in his first 13 league games.
This has seen Liverpool take another look at the Ghana international ahead of the January transfer window, with Jurgen Klopp keen on making the attacking midfielder his first signing since arrving as the new manager.
And Ayew has responded to the speculation, admitting that he is looking to make the leap to a bigger club after some time at the Liberty Stadium.
“Before I signed for Swansea, I had offers from big clubs,” he told RMC Radio.
“It was a choice that I really thought about. I weighed up the positives and the negatives, my age, what I want to achieve in football and how I was going to get there.
“Swansea gave me everything that I wanted, in terms of football and financially. Now, I am ambitious and we will see what happens.”
Liverpool are on a good vein of form, recently beating title-favourites Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad before a 2-1 victory over Bordeaux sent them into the Europa League knock-out phase.
