Wigan striker Arouna Kone is once again being linked with a move to Swansea as Michael Laudrup eyes a new striker, according to the Daily Mail.
Kone impressed at the DW Stadium despite the fact Wigan were relegated to the Championship and Swans boss Michael Laudrup is a big admirer of the Ivory Coast ace.
Wigan have vowed to keep hold of their star men following relegation but they could be fighting a losing battle as Premier League clubs weigh up move for the likes of Kone, James McCarthy and Callum McManaman.
Laudrup knows Kone well following his time in Spain and could make a move as he looks to sign at least one striker during the close season. Rumours of players following Martinez to Everton, should he take charge at Goodison Park, have also started and it comes as no surprise to see Kone mentioned.
