Swansea ready to replace struggling manager with former Man United boss

Swansea City are said to have opened talks with former Manchester United manager David Moyes over a possible switch, Mirror reports.

The 52-year-old was recently sacked by La Liga outfits Real Sociedad as he is being tipped to make a Premier League return following his time at Old Trafford as well as Everton.

Current Swans boss Garry Monk is under huge pressure from the club after picking up a number of disappointing results so far this season.

His side are currently sitting in 15th place on the Premier League table, a point away from Newcastle United in 18th place.

Monk only managed to register one win from his previous 12 fixtures in all competitions so far as chairman Huw Jenkins begins negotiations over a deal to bring Moyes to the Liberty Stadium.

In the latest round of fixtures, Swansea suffered a 3-0 loss to league leaders Leicester City as they prepare themselves for another tough task away to Manchester City this weekend.
