The Welsh club had been linked with a move for the forward, who only joined Sevilla last summer from Juventus.
But it seems the 31-year-old won’t be exiting the UEFA Europa League champions, after his agent Chus Llorente, who’s also his brother, said that a move was off the table:
“Fernando will continue at Sevilla,” said his agent.
Llorente scored 4 La Liga goals last season, after joining from the Serie A champions, and has struggled to make an impact since moving back to his home country.
The forward had scored 23 league goals across his first two seasons in Italy, and had been lined up by the Swans, who are lacking depth in their strike force. The club sold Euro 2016 hero Eder before the international tournament started, and often played either Gylfi Sigurdsson or Andre Ayew as a forward last season.
And with reports suggesting the club could now sell Ayew, the Llorente snub will come as a further blow for Swans fans hoping for good news with less than two weeks until the start of the new season.
