Captain John Terry claims Chelsea are the only club which is realistically capable of reaching the 90-point mark in the Premier League this season.
The Blues restored their three-point lead over Manchester United at the top of the table following Wednesday's unconvincing 2-1 victory over bottom club Portsmouth.
Frank Lampard's 79th-minute penalty saved the Blues' blushes and saw them return to winning ways after two defeats and two draws in their last four games.
But despite plenty of questions still remaining about the Blues' ability to hold off another strong title challenge from United, a bullish Terry claims his club is firmly in the box-seat when it comes to the title race.
Chelsea have garnered 40 points from their 17 league games so far this season.
"We should be further ahead at the top of the league and we only have ourselves to blame," Terry admitted."I understand everyone feeling frustrated, our defending of set-plays was unacceptable.
"We're still on target for 90 points this season and we're the only club which is. Saturday was the first time we've dropped points at home this term and I want it to be the last."
