Having been United’s number-two the past few seasons, Anders Lindegaard is expected to depart with La Liga club Sevilla keen on his services.

The 30-year-old ace had the chance to become the Red Devils’ number one during his second season after a newly-signed David de Gea failed to impress following his transfer from Atletico Madrid.

But the Dane was unable to convince then manager Sir Alex Ferguson, and has played second-fiddle to the Spaniard ever since.

United manager Louis van Gaal is also releasing 24-year-old Ben Amos, who came through the academy playing for the Old Trafford club since the age of 11.

And lastly 21-year-old Sam Johnstone, who was part of the 2011 Youth-Cup winning squad, is set to join Preston after returning on loan from Doncaster.
