Our attacking play is immense

Gary Neville said England’s attacking performance v Italy and the way they passed the ball around was their best performance in 15 years. Their movement, drive and aggression was fantastic.

Yes, it was frustrating to see the points being lost, but there is plenty to be positive about. Not least Raheem Sterling who showed the World what he can do. An incredible talent.

Let’s not obsess over his position either. With Rooney, Welbeck, Sturridge and Sterling, we have power, pace and the ability to make something happen.

Did you see Uruguay against Costa Rica? We’ve got this one in the bag.

Luis Suarez isn’t fit

So apparently, Luis Suarez is 100% fit. Pull the other one. There’s no way after several weeks out, minimal training and a long, hard season that the Uruguay star man is 100%.

This would mean he was pushing 100% against Costa Rica, so why on earth didn’t he come on when they were losing? It makes no sense.

To a point he was saving himself for England, but to another – he wasn’t even fit enough to play 20 minutes from the bench.

Can he go from that to being at his absolute best? Definitely not.

We have Daniel Sturridge

You can talk about Suarez and Edinson Cavani all you like, but England have the most in-form and dangerous striker on the pitch tonight – Daniel Sturridge.

He’s flying with confidence after his goal against Italy and has some very creative players pulling the strings around him.

Make sure you lump on 4/1 for him to score anytime at William Hill, because there’s no doubt the Liverpool man will get his chances during an open and attacking game.

COME ON ENGLAND!
