Hull City manager Phil Brown will revive his interest in Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo this month.
The 21-year-old Ecuador international, who is currently on loan at Sporting Lisbon, was one of Brown's main targets in the summer.
The Tigers boss confirmed to the Hull Daily Mail:"We were interested in Caicedo last summer and he went to Sporting Lisbon.
"Apparently it hasn't been a successful loan deal there, and I don't know how it works because I was led to believe it was a season-long loan.
"However, with a change of chairmanship at Sporting Lisbon and the fact it hasn't been successful in terms of on the field of play, it is a possibility that Caicedo would be of interest. If he goes back to Manchester City we would be interested."
Brown will not be looking at bringing City striker Benjani to the KC Stadium though, as he added:"It's six months down the line now for Benjani and it's a no-brainer for me.
"Where Benjani was concerned, in the last transfer window there was a lot of activity and it wasn't right for me at the time. I don't think the lad conducted himself in the right manner and I'm not interested."
