Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is returning from sabbatical and is keen on a job in the Premier League, which is set to mount some pressure on under-fire Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Reds have been struggling so far this season, which was showcased by their inability to beat League Two side Carlisle United in 120 minutes, only qualifying for the next round of the League Cup via a penalty shoot-out.
Before that, Liverpool were also held 1-1 by Norwich City in the Premier League, with both games at Anfield.
These results have made fans furious over the team’s lack of progress since their 2nd place finish in 2014, and the pressure is definitely growing on Rogers.
And with Klopp ready to return to management, Reds owners FSG will evaluate the situation which could see the German take over sooner rather than later.
Klopp’s agent Marc Kosicke revealed: “The Premier League is very exciting, and we do not only think about the top four because there are some other great clubs below them.”
