Manchester United have confirmed the departure of Serbia winger Zoran Tosic to CSKA Moscow.
Tosic, 23, struggled to make an impact on the first team at Old Trafford following his arrival 18 months ago from Partizan Belgrade.
His arrival was part of an aborted £7million double deal involving Adem Ljajic in January 2009.
The international winger made just five substitute appearances for the Red Devils and has left for an undisclosed fee.
Tosic, who is currently away on World Cup duty, has agreed a five-year contract with the Russian club.
His brief spell in the Premier League had looked to be over when he was allowed to join Bundesliga side FC Koln on loan during the second half of last campaign.
