Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been dealt a major blow in their chase for Mattia Destro, with the striker set to undergo a medical with AC Milan, according to Football Italia.
Roma are looking to sell the Italian in order to complete their deal for Luiz Adriano, and seem to have found a buyer in Serie A rivals Milan.
The Rossoneri have finally been able to schedule a medical this Wednesday after constantly proclaiming their interest in Destro, but were unable to sign him during the summer window.
However it seems that the two clubs have come to an agreement, which looks like an 18-month loan with a fee of £750,000, with several options to buy-out the contract at different times.
The injury to Stephan El Shaarawy may have prompted Milan to act quick, with ‘Il Faraone’ fracturing his metatarsal.
This will come as a blow to both Arsenal and Tottenham, who were extremely keen on adding Destro to their attacking ranks this January.
