The Bosnian playmaker is impressed in Serie A this season, growing into t a key player for the Rome side and attracting in the interest of England’s best clubs.

The 23 year old moved to Italy in 2011 for just £9million from Lyon but Roma are now only considering bids worth at least £20million for their key man.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is looking to transform his Blues squad this summer by getting rid of the deadwood and unwanted attitudes and then replacing them with talent such as Pjanic.

Arsenal have been long term admirers of the midfielder and they came close to signing the Bosnian international when he was at Lyon.
