Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are prepared to battle it out to sign Zenit Saint Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon in the summer, Daily Star reports.
The 21-year-old is being tipped to leave his current club at the end of the season, with both Spurs and the Reds keen on signing another forward.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, as well as Brendan Rodgers, have been linked with a number of strikers during the January window and may once again try to sign one this summer.
Rondon is one of the many attacking stars the two Premier League managers have been targeting, with Burnley’s Danny Ings, West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino, and Porto’s Jackson Martinez all being considered.
The Venezuelan international has an impressive record, netting 54 career goals in 125 matches and scoring seven in 11 starts so far this season.
He only joined from Rubin Kazan in the January window of 2014 for a fee of £15.8million, but is already believed to be preparing for an exit.
