Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton could have another chance to sign Franco Vazquez amid speculation that Palermo are ready to let him leave at the end of the season, Express reports.
The 26-year-old was said to be the subject of a double £14.5million bid from the Premier League pair during the summer, but was halted as the Serie A outfits rejected both offers.
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini admitted that he had received an offer for the attacking midfielder during the previous window, but a transfer failed to materialize.
“Vazquez? On the last day of the market I had a request of £14.5m (€20m) for him but not from Naples, but a side with more money,” he said.
Vazquez was denied a move by the club given that he managed to score 10 goals while providing a further 10 assist from a total of 37 matches last term.
The Italy international could now be on his way out after failing to replicate his previous season form, netting only one goal from his previous 11 league matches.
However, with both English clubs looking to have cooled interest in his services, Juventus and Napoli have been alerted to his possible availability as the pair are said to have joined the race for his signature.
