Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has once again come out to back struggling star Harry Kane to be amongst the goals soon, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 22-year-old was a standout performer for his side last term, scoring a total of 31 goals from 51 appearances in all competitions.
However, he is yet to register his first league goal of the current campaign, but Pochettino is still confident that Kane will get back to his best.
“I expect him to have another season like the last one. You must remember he didn’t score for the first two months last year,” said Pochettino.
“I’m very happy with him. Harry gives his best for the team and only needs time to score again. I’m sure the goals will arrive.”
Tottenham were looking to make West Bromwich Albion star Saido Berahino his strike partner this season, but was unable to agree a deal with the Baggies for his services.
They instead completed a £22million deal for Korea international forward Son Heung-Min, who was instead played down the wing, leaving Kane alone up top once again.
