Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is looking to sign another striker ahead of their Premier League opener against Manchester United, Mirror reports.
Harry Kane is currently the only senior striker heading into the new campaign as both Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor are being tipped for an exit.
Despite Kane being the only option for Pochettino at the moment, the Argentine is confident on the ability of the 22-year-old, but is still keen on adding another attacker into his ranks.
“It is true we have Harry and maybe we need to bring another striker in,” he said,
“But I am not worried about Harry. He came back after the Euros (Under-21 Championships) late in his preparations but I am not worried. He is ready to compete on Saturday against Manchester United.”
Spurs are keeping an eye on Manchester United star Javier Hernandez and West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino as they hope to sign a new player before the window closes.
The club are currently competing in the Audi Cup where they will play AC Milan for third place following a 2-0 semi-final defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
