Tottenham boss slams club legend over criticism of players

Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood believes Glenn Hoddle is now outdated after the former Spurs player and manager criticised the team last week, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

Hoddle slammed the Spurs players after their thrashing at Liverpool last Sunday, claiming that they were beaten before kick off due to their attitude.

Sherwood has hit back though and suggested that having not been a manager for many years, Hoddle needs to brush up on the modern game.

The current Spurs boss is under pressure and he doesn’t need others criticising him, but he understands that when a pundit has nothing else to talk about it becomes easy to be critical of players and managers.

“It’s been a long time since Glenn Hoddle has managed a team and the game has moved on significantly.

“I’ve been a pundit myself and it’s easy to be critical when you’ve got nothing else to talk about.”

Tottenham face Sunderland on Monday night in what is a must win game for the club and their manager.
