Tottenham braced for Man United bid if the Red Devils lose star

If Manchester United lose David de Gea to Real Madrid then Louis van Gaal will move to bring Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris to Old Trafford, that is according to reports in the Mirror.

United’s Spanish stopper has been subject to rumours of a move away from United since the season began, whilst Hugo Lloris is regarded as one of the finest ‘keepers in the top flight of England having moved to White Hart Lane in 2012.

Lloris is believed to be open to leaving Tottenham, despite only recently signing a new five-year deal, should Mauricio Pochettino fail to guide the Lilywhites to Champions League football this campaign.

United, who don’t view new signing Victor Valdes as a long-term replacement for de Gea, have been interested in Lloris ever since he joined the Premier League and will make a move should David de Gea fail to add to the 18 months left on his contract.
