Tottenham Hotspur will be without star man Harry Kane for their second-leg Europa League home clash against Fiorentina, Skysports reports.
The 22-year-old broke his nose when his side suffered a 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend and was unable to feature in the squad’s training session ahead of their fixture later today.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino later came out to confirm that Kane, along with Mousa Dembele who is out with a groin problem, will not be available for the game.
“On medical advice, it’s impossible for Harry to play tomorrow. In the last few minutes against Crystal Palace he played with a broken nose,” he said.
“Today we need to fix the problem – it’s impossible for him to play tomorrow but he’s available for Sunday.”
However, Kane missed the latest training session as he was sent to a specialist, but is expected to feature against Swansea City in the Premier League this Sunday.
Spurs host Fiorentina as they look to capitalize on their 1-1 first-leg away draw as Pochettino looks to help his side progress into the latter stages of the competition.
The England international has already featured 37 times in all competitions this term, so far managing to score 19 goals while providing another two assists.
