The American spent last season on loan at Sunderland, where he made 23 league appearances. He has only played for 11 minutes in the league for Spurs, and rumours suggest the Black Cats want him back for this new season.
But they may face competition from abroad, with the Turkish team reportedly keen on the wing-back. However, they are yet to make a formal bid, showing only interest so far.
Spurs are well equipped in the full-back department, with Danny Rose and Kyle Walker protected by Ben Davies and Kieron Trippier. And Yedlin’s playing time could reman as low for Spurs in the league as it has been so far.
The American international moved to White Hart Lane in 2015, after impressing for Seattle Sounders in the MLS. He is nearing a half century of international caps for the USA men’s national team.
