Tottenham Hotspur are planning a sensational £25 million bid for Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, according to The Sun.
The North London side have had a season to remember and look all-but sure of finishing in the top four this season and securing Champions League qualification.
If and when this does happen Spurs will look to bolster their contingent and have supposedly identified the England international midfielder as a player of interest.
Liverpool are in transition having replaced Brendan Rodgers with Jurgen Klopp and are very likely to finish outside the top four this season.
As such, the allure of playing in Europe’s top tournament could well have the ability to turn Henderson’s head, despite the fact he is captain of one of English football’s most historic clubs.
Liverpool will surely do everything in their power to keep the former Sunderland star and as such it would be up to the player to force a move to White Hart Lane.
