Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Chelsea fringe man Loic Remy on loan this January, according to The Mirror.
The North London side are in the market for a new centre forward to act as an alternative to Harry Kane, who is the only out-and-out number nine in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad currently.
Spurs parted company with the likes of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor in the summer, meaning that there is an over-reliance on the England international to play almost every game.
Remy has cut a forlorn figure since moving to Stamford Bridge, with the France international not oven many chances to play by the current Premier League champions.
The former Marseille man is being tipped for a loan move this month as the the Blues look to other new strikers to bring to West London.
The report suggests that Spurs want Remy but feel that Chelsea ay well block their move for the sprightly forward as they do not want to deal with a local rival.
