Didier Drogba missed a late penalty as Chelsea missed the chance to get back to winning ways against Tottenham.

The striker, who had been left out of the starting line-up, came off the bench to score the Blues' equaliser to cancel out Roman Pavlyuchenko's first-half opener for Spurs.

However, Spurs keeper Heurelho Gomes redeemed himself for a couple of blunders - including the goal and the foul which led to the decision to award a spot-kick - by saving Drogba's weakly struck effort.

Elsewhere, Bolton's excellent season continues as they climbed to sixth in the Premier League following a 2-1 win over Lancashire rivals Blackburn.
