Spurs have extended the contract of defender Kevin Wimmer.
The club broke the new on their official website, announcing that Wimmer has signed a new deal to keep him at White Hart Lane until 2021.
The 23-year-old made 10 Premier League appearances last season, and played in 21 games in all competitions. He managed to earn a place in the Austrian squad for EURO 2016, but only featured for 3 minutes.
Wimmer joined the club after an impressive season for Köln, and is one of a number of young defenders at the club, as Mauricio Pochettino builds an exciting future for Spurs fans.
The club came close to winning the league last season, eventually finishing third after falling short of Leicester City’s tally.
And Pochettino restarts his new Premier League season on August 13th, away at Everton. They will find out their UEFA Champions League group opponents on Friday 26th August, with the club back in the elite competition for the first time since 2011.
