Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a move to acquire the services of Sporting Lisbon’s Bubacar Djalo, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 18-year-old is yet to make an appearance for his senior side and is currently playing for the club’s Under-19 squad, but has already attracted interest from the Premier League club as well as Serie A side Roma.
However, he did feature in the UEFA Youth League where he played five times, scoring one and providing one assist.
The central midfielder is likely to spark interest from a number of additional sides after being dubbed as ‘the next Paul Pogba’.
He is also being tipped to leave the Portuguese club with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, which would make him available to be signed for a minimal fee.
Pogba, who left Manchester United for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, has turned himself into one of the most sought after central midfielders in world football, a mistake surely nobody wants to repeat.
