Despite Liverpool being heavily linked with Dejan Lovren, Tottenham Hotspur are set to join the race to sign the Southampton defender, Daily Star reports.
Former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino, now in charge of Tottenham, is trying to lure the defender to once again be reunited with him at White Hart Lane.
The form of Pochettino with his former club saw him gain a top ten finish, leading to his appointment to replace Tim Sherwood at Spurs.
Lovren is now being chased by the side’s new manager as he looks to add some competition in the centre-back role amongst the likes of Michael Dawson, Vlad Chiriches, Younes Kaboul, and Jan Vertonghen.
The Croatian star recently handed in a transfer request with his time at the Saint Mary’s Stadium looking quite numbered.
Brendan Rodgers was in pole position to bring him to Anfield while also chases Lovren’s team-mate Adam Lallana, after recently signing Rickie Lambert as well.
