Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp believes that Dele Alli’s quality makes him good enough to walk into any top club around the world.
The England international is only 20 years old, but he has become an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
He has scored 20 goals in all competitions, the most recent of which was a stunning strike in Saturday’s 4-0 rout over Watford.
The entire team have impressed of late, but Alli is arguably one of the main reasons why the North London outfit are keeping Chelsea on their toes in the Premier League title race.
In all honesty, given that the Blues have only lost four times in the top flight this season, it is unlikely that they will be dislodged from the top spot, but Spurs are the closest challengers seven points behind.
The rumour mill regularly begins churning when a particular player is performing well, and even though Redknapp thinks that Alli could play for any club, he wants the midfielder to stay at White Hart Lane.
The 70-year-old told talkSPORT:
“Dele Alli could play for anyone – he’s that good. He’s an amazing talent. But Tottenham are a big club. Everything is in place there – the training ground is fantastic, they’ve got a new stadium is coming, they’re probably going to finish second this year and they have a lot of young players who can only get better.
“The future looks fantastic for Tottenham and you’d like to see Alli stay there, with Harry Kane and some of the other youngster players.”
