Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung Min will miss his team’s upcoming Europa League clash with Monaco through injury, according to reports from the Express.
The 23-year-old picked up a foot injury in the 4-1 win over Manchester City last weekend and based on his manager Mauricio Pochettino, he could be out for a few weeks.
“Son got an injury during the game against Man City, a foot injury, and he is not here for this reason,” he said.
“He is injured and I think he will need to stay in England for recovery.
“I think that it will be a few weeks, but it is an injury that we need to assess every day.”
He has been on great form since his £22million summer transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, scoring three goals in his last five appearances for the club.
The Korea international found form at the right time as star man Harry Kane was unable to find the back of the net before finally scoring in the win over City.
Pochettino also added that he was lucky that there will be an international break after the upcoming round of Premier League fixtures, giving Son more time to recover before returning to action.
Apart from the winger, Spurs are also without Ryan Mason, Mousa Dembele, Alex Pritchard, and Nabil Bentaleb, all of whom are unavailable through injury.
