Tottenham Hotspur are set to rival Bayern Munich in the race to sign Mainz star Yunus Malli, according to reports from the Metro.
Malli has been on incredible form for Mainz so far this season, scoring seven goals in 13 league games for the Bundesliga club.
His performances have therefore attracted the interest of German champions Bayern Munich, who are prepared to make a swoop for the attacking midfielder.
However, Spurs are now keen on the Turkey international, and are reportedly set to submit a bid to bring him to White Hart Lane in the January transfer window.
Mainz are asking for a fee of £7million and a few add-ons, a price both the Lilywhites and Bayern are ready to pay.
Tottenham are on a great run of form in the Premier League, with the Lilywhites unbeaten since their season opener against Manchester United, which they lost 1-0 at Old Trafford back in August.
