Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle has labelled Harry Kane as ‘the real deal’, claiming that the centre forward has a massively bright future in the sport.
The homegrown hero burst onto the scene last season, netting an incredible 31 goals in all competitions to immediate become a White Hart Lane fans’ favourite.
Kane has continued his good form this season and has eight Premier League goals in Mauricio Pochettino’s men’s rise up the league towards the top four.
Former player and manager Hoddle has been signing the praises of the current star after the pair met for an interview.
The retired former England international has stated that he knew Kane would be a hit from the first time he seen him in the Tottenham side.
“You could see him as the real deal as soon as he came into the team,” Hoddle too The Daily Mail.
“A lot of people were saying: “Well, we’ve got wait and see.” But I look at young players coming in. I could see his ability.
“As a striker he’s got a little bit of everything. He can hit it, he’s got enough pace, he plays off his left, his right. He scores all types of goals. He has this little instinct to know where the ball will drop, which means he picks up positions. And that’s a bit of everything really. That’s why I went early on Harry and said he should be playing for England as well.”
Kane will hope to replicate his star showing against Chelsea later today, with the superstar forward inspiring his side to a 5-3 win the last time the teams met at White Hart Lane.
