Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign former charge Adam Lallana from Liverpool this summer, according to The Sun.
The Argentine boss knows the England international well from their mutual time at Southampton, where Pochettino played a key role in Lallana’s development.
Spurs have secured a place in the Champions League group stages next season and as such are expected to look to the transfer market in the summer to strengthen their contingent further.
Lallana has had a hot and cold time of it since leaving St Mary’s for Anfield, with the versatile forward not always first choice on Merseyside.
With Jurgen Klopp’s arrival at the Reds, a host of the Liverpool squad’s futures are up in the air and the Anfield side could well be tempted by Tottenham’s offer.
Lallana looks destined to play a role for England at the Euro 2016 Championships in France this summer, with the Three Lions pooled alongside Wales, Russia and Slovakia.
