The 21-year-old has been attracting the attention of a host of top European clubs with his excellent displays for the Amsterdam club.
Spurs have made no secret of their desire to sign the Denmark international schemer, who has scored seven goals and provided nine assists from 26 Eredivisie matches so far this term.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Inter Milan have also shown an interest in the youngster, whose future has been the subject of much discussion throughout the season.
However Spurs appear to be his preferred choice of club as long as they are playing in Europe’s elite club competition next term.
The north Londoners are currently four points clear of fifth-placed Arsenal but have played one game more than the Gunners.
