Tottenham plotting £8million move to sign Man United attacker

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to table an £8million offer in their attempts to sign Manchester United star Javier Hernandez, according to reports from the Express.

The 27-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan at Real Madrid, but has now returned to Old Trafford after the Spanish giants refused to make the move permanent.

He was being tipped for a departure this summer following manager Louis van Gaal’s revelation that the Mexico international will not feature in his plans going forward.

However, with United still unable to secure the signing of a new striker after seeing both Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie leave, Hernandez is set to be given another chance to prove his worth.

Apart from him, Wayne Rooney and James Wilson are the only other options Van Gaal has in regards to his attacking selections.

The Red Devils are currently linked with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, but looks to have now lost out on Liverpool-bound Christian Benteke.
