Tottenham Hotspur are ready to go head-to-head with Chelsea for the signature of Florian Thauvin after Marseille are said to be ready to consider offers, Daily Mail reports.
The 22-year-old is also being tracked by La Liga side Valencia, but Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen on rebuilding his squad in the summer.
They have been monitoring the situation of the France Under-21 star in the past and have also sent enquires to the Ligue-1 side over the chance of a potential switch.
He has been a regular feature for the French outfits, helping his team reach fourth in the league, scoring five goals and providing a further four assists so far this season.
Despite speculation of a squad overhaul, Pochettino will be boosted by news that star goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is likely to remain at the club and help them achieve a Champion League spot in the near future.
“Hugo is very happy here and wants to reach the Champions League with Tottenham. This is his dream,” he said.
