Tottenham Hotspur have received a huge boost ahead of their North London Derby clash against Arsenal, with Mousa Dembele set to recover from injury, according to reports from talkSPORT.
Dembele has been sidelined for the past few weeks with a groin problem, which saw him miss their crucial 1-0 loss to West Ham United this past Wednesday and their close 2-1 victory over Swansea City last weekend.
However, manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Dembele will have a late fitness test on Friday, but is likely to be included in the squad to face the Gunners.
“It’s possible that he will be available to be selected, we need to make one more check on him tomorrow,” he said.
“All the other players are fit but again we will assess them tomorrow before making a decision.”
Spurs will go top of the Premier League table for the first time this season if they manage to beat Arsenal, with leaders Leicester City playing in the late kick-off game against Watford later.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will be without star duo Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny, which will make the task of stopping the Lilywhites’ attack even harder for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
