Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is set to miss the club’s upcoming clash with Burnley after suffering a knee injury against Leicester City, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old was forced off with a gashed knee two weeks ago in the 4-3 win over the Foxes, missing both his international fixtures at the weekend for the France national team.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed the injury and revealed that Lloris will be unable to feature in their upcoming fixture.
His unavailability means backup goalkeeper Michel Vorm is set to make his first Premier League start, as he is mostly picked for FA Cup and League Cup matches.
However, he did feature 86 minutes in the previous round of fixtures after Lloris picked up an injury four minutes into play through a collision with Kyle Walker.
Pochettino will need to continue picking up three points if he is to see his side battle for a place in the top four, as they are currently 7th, six points behind Manchester United in fourth.
