Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is a battle to be fit for his side’s clash against Manchester City this weekend, Express reports.
The French goalkeeper sustained a thigh problem while on international duty and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is nervous Lloris will not be available for selection when they battle the Premier League champions.
Lloris will be vital to Spurs’ chances of getting anything out of their trip to the Etihad as Citys have managed to score 11 goals against the Lilywhites in their two league games last season.
Prompted whether Lloris will recover in time, Pochettino said: “”Maybe, maybe, maybe.”
“Hugo arrived on Wednesday and but we need to analyse and to test him. We have another day to decide.
“All players are important, and Hugo, yes, is our keeper that we use more than another. But all players, we need all players to be fit. We need to wait to analyse and then decide.”
Should the 27-year-old be deemed unfit to play, summer signing Michel Vorm is ready to make his Premier League debut of Spurs after his move from Swansea during the summer.
