Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has played down claims that he is currently going through a scoring drought for his side, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old has already gone five Premier League games without a single goal, but did manage to register two when playing for the England national team.
Kane netted in both of the Three Lions Euro 2016 qualifier, with one against San Marino and another in the 2-0 victory over Switzerland.
He has hit back at his critics over remarks that he is currently on a drought and is feeling confident after being able to score for England.
“Everyone else will probably call it a drought but I know the goals will come,” he said.
“Scoring for England last week was a great confidence booster and I’m not worried at all.”
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has also come out to defend his star striker and has backed the player to be amongst the goalscorers very soon.
The forward was on sensation form for his side last term, scoring 31 goals from a total of 51 appearances in all competitions and was even linked with a £50million move to Manchester United.
