Spurs could be 11 points behind leaders Arsenal by the time they kick off against Manchester United on Sunday and Andre Villas-Boas’ side have now not won in three league games.
Eriksen has been in and out of the Spurs side under AVB since he joined in the summer and the Danish international has urged everyone to be patient at the club.
Reports this week suggested that boss AVB could be sacked if the North London club lose at home to United today, but playmaker Eriksen knows that the goals will start to come and so will the wins.
‘It’s all about patience,’ Eriksen said.
‘We have a good manager. He seems like he really wants us to play offensive football, doing our thing. Unluckily it hasn’t been what he wished for.
‘We’ve created chances but didn’t score. When the players understand what he wants it will get better and better.
‘Everybody can win the league this year. If you win a game you are number two in the league – if you lose you’re number nine. It’s really close, but fun.’
