Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has stated that everyone in the team is at danger of losing their starting berth, including Harry Kane.
The North London club have impressed this season with their enterprising style of football, with the young collective putting forward a title challenge this term.
Mauricio Pochettino has revolutionised the White Hart Lane club since arriving and has collated a group of hungry young players.
The former Southampton trainer stresses that his side must buy into his ideals, including pressing the ball and outrunning the opposition.
Dembele has been full of praise for the Argentine trainer and admitted that anyone could be dropped if they do not work hard enough.
“Everybody knows that they can be the best player in the team but if they don’t work, then it’s not going to be good enough,” he told The Guardian.
“I think that’s the difference. We don’t have superstars. Of course, we have players who can make ‘the difference, like Harry Kane, but even Harry knows: ‘OK, I need to work.’
And you see it. I don’t know another striker who works harder than Harry. This puts him on another level to most other strikers.”
Dembele has been something of an unsung hero for Spurs this season and has starred in the centre of midfield.
Pochettino’s side face Manchester United at White Hart Lane later today and need three points if they are to stay in the title race.
