The QPR forward, who has netted five goals in eight appearances, has drawn interest from the other Premier League clubs, most notably Spurs, who considered signing the striker before he left Marseille, but balked at the £15million fee.
If the Super Hoops cannot hold their place in England’s top flight, the club faces a mass departure of their stars, including Julio Cesar, Adel Taarabt, and Junior Hoilett, as well as seven players whose contracts end in the summer.
Remy has become a fan favourite at Loftus Road, but if the club goes down, a release clause in his contract could be triggered, allowing Andre Villas-Boas’ side to sign him for £8million.
QPR, who currently sit second from bottom of the table, have six matches left to try to close the seven point gap to safety and the 26-year-old’s performance could prove to be the difference between the club’s relegation or top-flight status.
AVB is rumoured to be seeking reinforcements up front and has also expressed an interest in Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.
