The Spurs boss is hoping that the Bale deal will be sorted before the start of the season next Saturday and that it won’t negatively affect the club in the opening few weeks of the season as Luka Modric’s move to Real Madrid did this time last year.

Spurs have already spent £50million this summer with Roberto Soldado the main buy but Villlas-Boas wants to pair the Spaniard with Suarez if possible.
