Tottenham Hotspur are desperate to tie their manager Mauricio Pochettino down to a new contract, with The Sun claiming that Manchester United are set to make a move for the Argentine this summer.
The former Southampton boss has been central in the North London club’s progression this season, with Spurs putting forward a title challenge and right in the running with four games remaining.
Pochettino has compiled a young squad at White Hart Lane, ridding himself of players that do not fit in with his footballing ideals.
As such, the South American is adjudged as one of the most technically able coaches in English football and essential to Tottenham fighting for honours for years to come.
Spurs are reportedly set to offer Pochettino a new five-year contract to keep him out of the grasp of his many suitors.
United have had a campaign to forget and are expected to let Louis van Gaal leave the club this summer.
