Tottenham Hotspur have moved ahead of Arsenal in the chase for Porto goal-machine Jackson Martinez, according to reports from the Metro.
The 28-year-old has been a long-term target for both Premier League sides and is now being tipped to depart his current club for a challenge elsewhere.
It is believed the Colombia international favours a move to White Hart Lane over the Emirates, something that will be seen as a huge boost to Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Martinez has been in remarkable form over the past few seasons, scoring 88 goals in all competitions from a total of 128 matches so far for his side.
He is currently valued at around the £25million region, with Liverpool also said to be interested in a move for the player.
