Tottenham to reignite interest in Gent attacking star

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make another attempt at signing Gent star Simon Moses after they failed to acquire his services when he was a teenager, according to reports from the Mirror.

The 20-year-old was targeted by Spurs in the past, but he opted to join Ajax partner club AS Trencin after failing to agree terms with the Dutch giants despite training with team during the pre-season back in 2013.

He eventually caught the eye of Belgium giants Genk during this year’s January window after scoring nine goals and providing seven assists in 19 appearances for his former club.

The Nigerian international helped his side win the Belgian Pro League last term with six goals in nine matches and has now alerted the Premier League club to his potential.

Apart from the winger, manager Mauricio Pochettino is also said to be keeping an eye on his teammate Laurent Depoitre.

He featured for the Belgium national team against Andorra at the weekend and even managed to get himself on the score sheet, helping his side guarantee a place in the upcoming European Championships.
