Tottenham weigh up transfer move for duo

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas is set to spend the money Spurs get for Gareth Bale on two strikers, according to the Sunday Times.

Villas-Boas is set to make a move for wantaway Liverpool striker Luis Suarez along with Porto hitman Jackson Martinez.

Despite Suarez claiming he wants to leave England and speculation that he wants Champions League football, Spurs are set to rival Arsenal’s bid for the Uruguayan, however a deal is pretty unlikely.

Martinez is a far more affordable signing with Porto only demanding around £25million for the Colombian ace who has set the Portuguese league alight with his pacey forward play over the past 12 months.

Villas-Boas has a good relationship with former club Porto and is hoping to partner Martinez; if Suarez is a no go; with new singing Roberto Soldado who cost around £25million.

The summer of big spending at White Hart Lane is set to continue after Paulinho and Nacer Chadli added to Villas-Boas’ squad along with Soldado.
