Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is willing to allow central midfielder Nabil Bentaleb to go on loan this season, with The Mirror stating that a switch to Italian side Lazio could well be on the cards.
The Algeria international is a product of the White Hart Lane youth academy and made an impression after breaking into the Spurs first team.
However, last season Pochettino preferred to use Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele in the heart of his midfield, which relegated Bentaleb to fringe status.
The Argentine coach is said to be concerned about the African losing the ball in dangerous positions and as such will let him play elsewhere in 2016-17.
The signing of Victor Wanyama has pushed Bentaleb further away from the Tottenham starting XI, with the Kenyan enforcer expected to start against Everton today in Dembele’s absence.
Spurs also have the likes of Ryan Mason and Tom Carroll vying for a start in central midfield.
