Tottenham’s record signing Erik Lamela is a transfer target for three Serie A clubs this January, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Argentina international completed a £30million move to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2013, and endured a difficut first season in English football.
He has shown flashes of what he is capable of under Mauricio Pochettino this season, but has been unable to help Spurs dropping down to 12th in the Premier League table after suffering four home defeats from five games.
Lamela’s former club Roma are said to be interested in bringing him back to Serie A this January, whilst Juventus and Inter Milan are also keen on the 22-year-old.
Tottenham’s sporting director Franco Baldini is aware of the interest, but remains intent of keeping hold of Lamela in the hope he eventually comes good.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has found himself under pressure of late, and knows he would be unlikely to recoup the £30million the club paid for him little more than 12 months ago were they to sell.
Reports suggest all three of the Italian clubs value Lamela at closer to £14million, meaning Tottenham are unlikely to listen to any offers this winter.
